TOWNSEND 26 FT | SKILLS: laminate, painting | PROJECT DURATION: 4 weeks
This Townsend 26 footer suffered from electrochemical deterioration which resulted in a keel joint leak. When the keel was removed, severe corrosion was discovered in the bolts - some keel bolts had corroded almost entirely away. New keel bolts were installed and the keel rebedded to the hull with a new bilge floor. Laminate was applied across the keel to hull joint, and new epoxy primer and antifouling paint applied to the entire hull under the waterline.
