This timber constructed vessel had a severe case of electro-chemical reaction around the strut, rudder and shaft tube. The deterioration in the timber was caused by saltwater leaking around the metal fittings. The only sign of this issue were small water leaks into the bilge. Brin Wilson addressed the issue by cutting-out the compromised timber planking and super structure, and completely rebuilding the contaminated areas.
